Moorestown, MI – FMF/KTM Factory riders Russell Bobbitt and Cory Buttrick put in two impressive rides at the 85th running of the Jack Pine Enduro.
Rain the day before and nice weather the day of made for a perfect day of racing. The first test was deemed the toughest of the day by the course workers but proved to be an easy run for Bobbitt and Buttrick who turned fast times right from the start.
Bobbitt, the reigning National Enduro Champion really turned it up in the second test where he finished with the second fastest time. From there he continued to put in solid times even winning the fourth test of the day which was the longest and least favored test. At the end of the six tests Bobbitt sat in 2nd place less than a minute behind winner Charles Mullins. Cory Buttrick was able to hang on to 3rd over Husaberg’s Nick Fahringer to put two KTM riders on the podium.
“I have struggled this year with a few injuries and have really been focusing this last month on picking up my speed through both riding and cross-training. I am really glad to get on the podium and inch closer to Mullins,” commented Bobbitt.
